Making Money From Selling Audio Books

Many people will probably not realize that it is actually possible to make money from promoting and selling other peoples audio books on the internet. Through what is called an "affiliate program", web users sign up with the intention of marketing another companies products. If they are able to generate a sale, the company owning the product will reimburse the affiliate with a commission. This is an extremely general explanation - so I will be sure to go in to more depth in the following paragraphs.

How Much You Make Depends On Your Ability To Sell.

Do you know the story about the real estate agent who didn't sell any houses in a whole year? Their income was exactly $0.00. That's because they were based on a commission - meaning that if they only received money when they actually transacted a sale.

The same idea applies with the affiliate industry. With audio books in particular, if you don't make any audio book sales in a particular period, you wouldn't earn any money. However, if you were able to facilitate the sale of a large number of audio books, you could quite easily be looking at many hundreds of dollars worth of cash in your account.

So How Do You Generate Sales?

Ultimately, this is the question which every affiliate marketer seeks the answer to. Whether it be internet or print advertising, or any other "alternative" medium of generating new leads, people are trying almost anything you can think of to get people buying audio books by the truck load.

If you are able to see through the sales pitch mist, you will probably understand that the affiliate industry is a highly competitive one. So much so that for a single audio book on the market, there might by anywhere in the vicinity of 10,000 sellers at any one time.

Interestingly, audio books are not the only products which you could opt to market. There are a huge number of affiliate opportunities out there for the taking. One thing is for sure though. Whichever one you end up choosing, you will need to do some solid research and ground work if you seek greater success than the average Joe. Don't forget, if it was easy to make money with audio books, almost everyone would be doing it.
